IShowSpeed’s Miles Morales Halloween Costume and Stream

The Lowdown

Plenty of people put on a Spider-Man suit for Halloween. IShowSpeed put on the Miles Morales suit, climbed onto a Manhattan rooftop, and then spent a whole livestream acting out his own version of Into the Spider-Verse on the streets of New York (Complex; Complex).

Key Takeaways

IShowSpeed dressed as Miles Morales for Halloween and shared a rooftop photo shoot on Saturday, Oct. 31, captioned “hey, im miles morales” (IShowSpeed on X; Complex).
A TikTok from the shoot shows him landing a backflip on the rooftop to a remix of “Sunflower,” the Post Malone and Swae Lee song from the Spider-Verse soundtrack (Complex).
He kept the suit on for a Halloween stream in New York, where fellow streamer Cuffem showed up as a monster and staged a purse snatching for Speed to stop (Complex).
The X post had passed 697,000 likes and 42 million views by Sunday evening, per X’s own counts.

The Story

The shoot was a full New York production: Speed in the suit, high above the city, with the skyline behind him. The photos went up on his socials on Halloween itself, and the clip of him flipping on the rooftop followed (Complex; IShowSpeed on X).

Then he went live as Miles. Speed told followers he would be streaming that evening “AS MILES” (IShowSpeed on X; Complex).

The purse rescue

The moment that traveled furthest involved Cuffem, another streamer, who appeared in a monster costume and pretended to rob a woman during the broadcast. Speed charged in. “Hey, what are you doing stealing that lady’s purse?” he yelled before tackling him, then handed the bag back (Complex).

He finished with a little hometown-hero speech: “Hey you don’t do this in my city alright. I’m here to save Brooklyn. Don’t you ever do that again, alright, buddy?” The fight, the robbery and the victim were all part of the bit (Complex).

The Background

It was a busy week for Speed in New York. On Wednesday, Oct. 28, he ran a one-day scavenger hunt across the city with a $250,000 prize for whoever could find him between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. (Complex; Complex).

The timing of the costume also lines up with the next movie. Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, the third animated film with Shameik Moore voicing Miles, is due in June 2027 (Complex).
