Kevin Trudeau

Kevin Trudeau is an American author and infomercial pitchman from Lynn, Massachusetts. He became one of the best-known faces of late-night TV selling memory courses, health products and, later, his own books. His best-known book is Natural Cures “They” Don’t Want You to Know About (2005). In a 2004 settlement with the Federal Trade Commission, he agreed to stop selling products through infomercials, except for his books. In November 2013, a federal jury in Chicago convicted Trudeau of criminal contempt for violating a court order with infomercials that misrepresented his book The Weight Loss Cure “They” Don’t Want You to Know About. He was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison in March 2014 and left federal custody in 2022. Earlier, in the early 1990s, he pleaded guilty to larceny and credit card fraud charges. Trudeau has long said a secretive group he calls “The Brotherhood” taught him the success secrets he sells. That claim has never been independently verified.
