Nick Dorka
Real estate agent, former college football player and Love Is Blind Season 7 participant.
Overview
Nick Dorka is a real estate agent and former college football player who appeared on Netflix’s Love Is Blind Season 7. Introduced as Nick D to distinguish him from another participant, he became engaged to Hannah Jiles in the Washington, DC experiment. Their relationship ended before a wedding. His post-season interviews focused on independence, work and the lessons he took from sharing a home with a romantic partner for the first time.
Football had been an important part of Dorka’s earlier ambitions. Netflix’s cast introduction described him as a former college All-American whose hopes of playing in the NFL had not worked out. He subsequently built a career in real estate and wanted to find a partner who had ambitions and confidence of her own. His stated goal was a relationship in which both people contributed, rather than one person simply following the other’s established path.
Dorka’s pod courtship with Jiles was not straightforward. The official account described a breakup and reconciliation before the pair agreed to marry. Their engagement then tested how the connection would function outside the structured conversations of the pods. Different expectations about responsibility and communication became part of the relationship, which ended before they reached the altar.
In Netflix’s October 2024 interview after the reunion, Dorka described moving out of his parents’ home, renting his own apartment and starting a real estate group. He also said he hoped to purchase a home. Looking back, he credited Jiles with prompting him to take more initiative while also explaining that he wanted a future partner to express criticism more considerately. He described spending time with friends and working on himself rather than reconnecting romantically with another pod date. The interview presented personal and professional changes alongside the engagement’s end.
