GloRilla Returns Ciara’s Halloween Favor, With Brandon Ingram as Bow Wow

The Story

The first look was all Ciara, circa 2004. GloRilla recreated the Goodies cover with a pink hoodie, long flowing hair and a cross necklace, according to Complex, and matched the era’s bubblegum-pink makeup, per SI (Complex; SI).

The second look brought in Ingram. Ciara and Bow Wow were dating when they made “Like You” in 2005, and the video casts them as neighbors flirting in an elevator. Glo and Ingram filmed their version in an elevator too, with Ingram’s braids styled after Bow Wow’s from the video (SI; Complex).

By Saturday, reposts were circulating on X, and Sports Illustrated covered the costumes alongside music outlets (@HaterReport on X; SI).

A two-year Halloween exchange

The tribute answers one Ciara started. For Halloween 2024, Ciara dressed as GloRilla and recreated the rapper’s viral Complex interview with Speedy Morman, down to the giant hoop earrings and a “YWR” chain (Complex). Glo loved it, writing “Lmaoooo CICI OMG” before reposting it with “CICI gone do df outta Halloween lmao I luv dis” (HipHopDX).

The two already had history. GloRilla jumped on the remix of Ciara’s “Better Thangs” in 2022 (Complex).
