AEW had hinted at his arrival with vignettes that hid his face (Yahoo Sports).
Yahoo Sports noted the timing: the debut came one year to the day after Dragunov returned from an ACL tear in WWE to win the U.S. Championship from Sami Zayn. Yahoo named him MVP of the night (Yahoo Sports).
