The Lowdown
Ten days before he challenges for the world title, Kyle Fletcher won the war. In the men’s Blood & Guts match on Dynamite on Nov. 4, Fletcher held a screwdriver to Will Ospreay’s neck until Adam Copeland surrendered, giving the Don Callis Family the win (AEW.com; Fightful).
Key Takeaways
- The Callis Family (Fletcher, Kazuchika Okada, Wardlow, Kevin Knight, Mark Davis and Jake Doyle) beat Ospreay, The Young Bucks, Copeland, Darby Allin and Steven Borden (AEW.com).
- Copeland gave up while Okada, Davis and Doyle choked him with a chain through the cage (AEW.com).
- After the bell, Fletcher told Wardlow to “DO IT,” and Wardlow threw Allin off the top of the cage through tables (AEW.com; Fightful).
- In the women’s Blood & Guts match, Julia Hart submitted to Harley Cameron while Kris Statlander pulled barbed wire across her mouth (AEW.com).
- Fletcher challenges Ospreay for the AEW World title at Full Gear on Nov. 14 in Phoenix (AEW.com).

How the Callis Family Won
The Callis Family won the coin toss, so Fletcher started the match and his side always had the numbers advantage. Allin rose out of a body bag for his entrance and threw a skateboard at Fletcher at the bell (AEW.com).
Late in the match, Don Callis slipped Fletcher a screwdriver from the commentary desk. Fletcher used it on both Bucks and tried it on Borden before Ospreay blocked him and bit him. Fletcher answered with a Sheerdrop Brainbuster onto a barbed-wire chair (AEW.com).
Then came the finish. With Copeland being choked against the cage, Fletcher grabbed Ospreay from behind and put the screwdriver to his neck. Copeland surrendered to save him. Fletcher told Ospreay he wouldn’t “put the final screwdriver in the coffin tonight” but would take the title at Full Gear (AEW.com).
He wasn’t done. Fletcher looked up at Wardlow, already on top of the cage with Allin, and said “DO IT!” Wardlow threw Allin through a stack of tables on the floor, and Dynamite ended with medics around him (AEW.com; Fightful).
The Pit Take
In our opinion, this was the best possible go-home for Fletcher vs. Ospreay. Fletcher won without pinning anyone, made the hero’s friend quit, and showed he’ll cross any line, which is exactly what a challenger needs before a title match. The Allin spot was frightening, coming days after he ran the NYC Marathon. Catch up on the build with how Fletcher earned his title shot and last week’s Collision. More in Wrestling.
The Background
Blood & Guts is AEW’s two-ring, cage-covered team war, in which wrestlers enter on a timer and the match is won only by surrender or submission. Ospreay and Fletcher were partners in the Callis Family before Ospreay left it (AEW.com). Our image shows Fletcher as AEW International Champion in August 2026.
