Overview
Dominic West followed Jimmy McNulty with leading roles across contemporary drama, British history and the stage. He played Noah Solloway throughout The Affair’s five seasons, from 2014 to 2019. His portrayal of Fred West in Appropriate Adult won the 2012 BAFTA for Leading Actor. Other roles included Richard Burton in Burton & Taylor and Jean Valjean in Les Misérables. As Prince Charles in The Crown’s final two seasons, released in 2022 and 2023, West reached another major international audience. The performance earned a 2024 Emmy nomination for lead actor in a drama. His stage work continued with A View from the Bridge at London’s Theatre Royal Haymarket in 2024, and he returned as Guy Dexter in Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale in 2025. His latest verified television work is WAR, the Sky/HBO legal drama launched in the UK in October 2026. West plays technology entrepreneur Morgan Henderson opposite Sienna Miller as his estranged wife, Carla Duval. Their divorce brings rival London law firms into conflict, another complicated protagonist in a career far removed from a single Baltimore detective.
