Overview
Jamie Hector’s later career supplies one of the ensemble’s sharpest changes of perspective. After playing Marlo Stanfield, he spent seven seasons as detective Jerry Edgar in Bosch. In a 2021 Television Academy interview, Hector discussed Edgar’s moral compromises and his evolving trust with Harry Bosch, showing a sustained character journey rather than simply a move to the other side of the law. He later reunited with David Simon’s creative circle in We Own This City. Not every announced project became a series. A proposed Bosch spinoff built around Jerry Edgar entered development, but TVLine reported in October 2024 that it was no longer moving forward. That distinction keeps an abandoned plan from being mistaken for a completed starring role. Hector’s creative work also extends into education and books. Scholastic’s July 2024 interview describes his collaboration on the Our Community: Haitian Heritage classroom collection and his co-writing of the Chloé Wonders books. The publisher identifies Hector and Alaine Roberson as co-founders of Moving Mountains, which offers performing-arts training to young people in underserved urban communities. This work provides a substantive answer to ‘where are they now’ beyond the familiar television credits.
