Overview

Lauren O’Brien appeared on the Minneapolis-based eighth season of Love Is Blind, where she became engaged to David Bettenburg, known on the show as Dave. Their connection developed alongside his dates with Molly Mullaney. Bettenburg eventually chose to propose to O’Brien, and she accepted. The pair continued beyond the pods, but ended their relationship before the season’s wedding ceremonies rather than reaching an altar decision.

Netflix introduced O’Brien as a former teacher working in educational sales. She described asking questions as a natural part of getting to know someone, while also acknowledging that she could spend a lot of time processing what a partner meant.
