Overview

Mason Horacek is a cinematographer who stepped in front of the cameras for Netflix’s Love Is Blind Season 8. Part of the Minneapolis group, he explored connections in the pods involving Madison Errichiello and Meg Fink. His experience did not lead to one of the season’s weddings. Instead, the relationships and friendships that emerged from the experiment became the focus of his later reflections with Netflix.

His cast introduction placed creative work at the center of his life. Horacek described being proud of supporting himself through a career he enjoyed, and wanted to meet someone with a similar sense of purpose. Skateboarding was another major interest: Netflix’s guide described him fitting sessions around work and hoping a future partner might share that enthusiasm. The combination of filmmaking and skating gave viewers a picture of his routine outside the pods.

After the reunion, Horacek spoke about becoming more aware of the boundaries he needed in relationships. He told Netflix that he had a tendency to put a partner’s needs ahead of plans with friends and family, and wanted to find a better balance. He also described a close friendship with Fink as an important positive outcome, rather than treating the absence of an on-screen marriage as the only measure of the experience.

The relationship continued beyond that initial friendship. In August 2025, MPR News reported that Horacek and Fink were dating and had shared a video of a Northfield outing. Their later connection followed a slower route than the show’s engaged couples, who moved quickly toward the altar. His story links the televised pod dates with the less structured period in which the Minneapolis cast continued spending time together after filming.
