Overview
Nick Amato is a luxury watch dealer who appeared on Netflix’s Love Is Blind Season 9, which followed singles in the Denver area. He became engaged to hair salon owner Annie Lancaster after exploring more than one connection in the pods. Their relationship moved into the real world but ended before the planned wedding. Amato later described trying to reconnect with Lancaster outside the experiment before the two ultimately went their separate ways.
Netflix’s introductory profile presented Amato as an entrepreneur who valued control over his time. Starting his own business had allowed him to move away from a conventional work schedule and make room for spontaneous travel. A former duathlete, he wanted a partner who would enjoy adventure without needing every moment planned. At the same time, he acknowledged holding back emotionally in past relationships because he worried about hurting someone.
The pods offered a different setting for making those decisions. Amato’s dates with Lancaster mixed humor with discussions about their future, including family life. He initially called her an unexpected possibility, but the connection became strong enough for him to propose. Their different surroundings remained a practical question: Netflix described him weighing the idea of leaving a secluded mountain home for a shared life with her in Denver.
After their engagement ended, the pair briefly continued dating. In an October 2025 interview with Netflix, Amato said they had eventually recognized that their difficulties were not only a response to being filmed. He also spoke about examining his own comments and assumptions after watching the season. By the reunion period, he described himself as single, spending more time at home and focusing on personal growth. He wished Lancaster well in her new relationship, placing their final chapter on more cordial terms than the breakup alone might suggest.
