Overview
Ramses Prashad appeared on Netflix’s Love Is Blind Season 7 as a program associate at a justice reform nonprofit. Part of the Washington, DC cast, he became engaged to Navy veteran Marissa George. Their relationship continued out of the pods but ended shortly before the wedding. Prashad later discussed why he had decided not to marry and how continued contact after the breakup affected their ability to move on.
He entered the experiment with experience of marriage and divorce. In Netflix’s cast introduction, Prashad described his first marriage as having ended because the couple grew in different directions. He wanted to feel accepted in a future relationship and valued empathy, listening and emotional openness. The profile presented him as ready to try again after time spent recovering from that earlier chapter.
His conversations with George explored expectations about masculinity, equality and the possibility of being fully understood by a partner. Their connection developed despite different viewpoints, including around her military service. She chose to pursue the relationship with him over another connection in the pods, and the two became engaged. Their attraction did not ultimately resolve questions about whether their everyday routines and expectations could work together.
In an October 2024 interview with Netflix after the reunion, Prashad said he had come to see a mismatch between their energy levels and the quieter home life he wanted. He acknowledged wishing he had communicated his doubts earlier. Following the breakup, he initially remained available for conversations, but both later recognized that distance was necessary. At the time of the interview, he described concentrating on reflection and friendships rather than a new commitment. His account placed emotional compatibility alongside the feelings that had originally brought them together, without suggesting those feelings alone were enough for marriage.
