Overview
Stephen Richardson is an electrician and former Marine who appeared on Netflix’s Love Is Blind Season 7. Part of the Washington, DC cast, he became engaged to sales executive Monica Davis after the two connected in the pods. Their relationship ended before the wedding stage. Richardson later spoke with Netflix about taking responsibility for his mistakes, remaining cordial with Davis and rebuilding his everyday life after filming.
Before the experiment, Richardson described wanting a relationship that would last longer than his earlier partnerships. The official cast guide presented him as outgoing and eager to find someone emotionally intelligent and independent. He also hoped to share humor and an enthusiasm for The Lord of the Rings. Rather than continuing to rely on appearance-driven dating, he wanted to see whether conversations alone could support a more lasting connection.
The pod dates with Davis included candid discussion of previous relationship mistakes and the effort to grow beyond them. Netflix’s account described her response as reassuring to him. Their engagement then moved into the more demanding setting of a shared life outside the pods. When that relationship broke down, the pair did not go on to exchange wedding vows. In later interviews, both distinguished the end of the romance from the possibility of treating one another respectfully.
In the October 2024 post-reunion interview, Richardson said he was employed again after losing work during the period around filming. He also described adopting a dachshund named Clementine and finding companionship in caring for her. Dating had remained difficult at that point, but he said he supported Davis’s happiness in a new relationship. His account of the aftermath included work, a new pet and a more accepting perspective on the breakup, while acknowledging that the relationship had caused hurt.
