The Lowdown
Twenty seasons in, Orange County still knows how to sell a reunion: put Tamra in a replica of Vicki’s season-one grotto and let the cameras roll. The stunt is fun, but the real story is underneath it. The end cards show a cast that left Season 20 more fractured than it arrived.
Key Takeaways
- Bravo released the RHOC Season 20 reunion trailer on October 29, the night of the season finale (E! News).
- In it, Tamra Judge strips down and jumps into a pool modeled on Vicki Gunvalson’s season-one backyard grotto (E! News).
- Vicki arrives in a wheelchair after recent knee surgery (E! News).
- The reunion begins Thursday, November 5, at 8 p.m. on Bravo (E! News).
The Story
The Real Housewives of Orange County marked its 20th season with a reunion stunt even Andy Cohen didn’t see coming. In the trailer Bravo released on October 29, Tamra Judge announces “I’m going swimming!” and jumps, nearly nude, into a pool built to resemble Vicki Gunvalson’s backyard grotto from season one, while Jennifer Pedranti paddles alongside (E! News).
Gunvalson, the franchise’s original Housewife, couldn’t join in: she is wheeled onto the set after recent knee surgery (E! News). The rest of the cast, Shannon Beador, Heather Dubrow, Emily Simpson, Gina Kirschenheiter and Carmella Garcia, then get into updates on their love lives, and the preview teases a feud between Dubrow and Kirschenheiter (E! News).
The finale’s end cards set up plenty to argue about. Bravo’s recap says Gunvalson and newcomer Garcia agreed to coexist but never became friends, Dubrow and Garcia have had limited contact, and Simpson is barely speaking with Dubrow after filming (Bravo).
There was good news, too. Pedranti and fiancé Ryan Boyajian have set a tropical wedding, which Pedranti has said will be on a boat in Cabo San Lucas in April 2027, and Kirschenheiter and fiancé Travis Mullen are drafting a prenup. Garcia’s end card says she and Danny Hampel have split “this time, for good” (Bravo).
The Season 20 reunion begins Thursday, November 5, at 8 p.m. on Bravo (E! News).
