The Lowdown
Revival was a strong comic with a clever twist on the undead, and it deserved more than one season. The bigger story is Syfy itself. A channel with sci-fi in its name now has a single original series left.
Key Takeaways
The Story
Syfy has canceled Revival after one season, TVLine reported on October 20. The supernatural noir, adapted from the comic by Tim Seeley and Mike Norton, aired its first-season finale in August 2025 (TVLine).
The show is set in a rural Wisconsin town where people who recently died suddenly come back to life, acting just like they used to. Melanie Scrofano starred as local officer and single mother Dana Cypress, who is pulled into a murder mystery (TVLine).
David James Elliott, Romy Weltman and Andy McQueen also starred (TVLine).
With Revival gone, Syfy’s only remaining original series is The Ark. Its third season wrapped October 14, and it has not been renewed (TVLine).
