The Story
Dancing with the Stars Dedication Night got a twist on October 20. Tyler Cameron, dancing with pro partner Sharna Burgess to Ed Sheeran’s “Supermarket Flowers,” dedicated the routine to his late mother, Andrea Cameron, and to “mothers everywhere,” with fiancée Tate Madden joining the performance (USA Today).
Reading a letter to his mother on the dance floor, Cameron said of Madden: “She’s going to be the most incredible mama, just like you. And we’re gonna have a baby.” A pink confetti cannon then revealed the baby is a girl. “I get to be a girl dad. What a gift,” Cameron said (USA Today; People).
After the show, Cameron’s Instagram shared a photo of him kissing Madden’s baby bump with the caption “Baby Cameron coming 2027.” He had hinted at the news days earlier with a TikTok captioned “can’t wait to hit the floor with these 3” before changing it to “these 2” (USA Today).
The couple met in 2022, when Madden was a photographer on his renovation show Going Home with Tyler Cameron, and announced their engagement in August (USA Today). One week later, Cameron and Burgess were eliminated in a Halloween double elimination (ABC News).
