The Story
Good news, everyone. At a joint Bob’s Burgers and Futurama panel at New York Comic Con on October 10, head writer David X. Cohen announced three “supersized” Futurama specials, releasing in 2027 and 2028 (Rotten Tomatoes).
The news comes as the show’s episodic run ends, at least for now. Attendees also got a sneak preview of the 2027 holiday special (Rotten Tomatoes).
Bob’s Burgers had news too: the show returns in early 2027, and a Hulu-exclusive holiday short, “On the Fort Day of Christmas,” premieres December 7 (Rotten Tomatoes).
