Overview
Kacie McIntosh is a hair and makeup artist who appeared on the Denver season of Netflix’s Love Is Blind. She became engaged to construction manager Patrick Suzuki, but left the experiment before joining the couples’ post-pod vacation. Their relationship did not resume as a lasting romance. McIntosh later discussed the emotional demands of filming and the ways the experience had changed what she looked for when dating.
Netflix’s cast introduction presented McIntosh as a humorous and expressive person who liked sarcastic banter, movie quotations and singing show tunes. She wanted a partner with a similar sense of fun who could also be emotionally open. Her interest in the experiment came partly from wanting to move beyond relationships driven mainly by immediate physical attraction. Fantasy football was another interest she hoped a future partner might share.
Her dates with Suzuki combined joking competition with more personal conversations. Netflix’s account described the two discussing his experiences dating as an Asian man in Denver and how their families might respond to the relationship. After another of his connections ended, McIntosh and Suzuki became engaged. Meeting face-to-face did not bring the certainty she had hoped for, and she chose to return home rather than continue into the next filmed stage.
In Netflix’s October 2025 post-reunion interview, McIntosh said she had needed time to decompress after the pods and had struggled with how the engagement ended. She also described approaching dating differently afterward, including asking new questions and setting clearer boundaries. Although she had not found a husband through the experiment, she identified friendship with Megan Walerius as an important gain. Her account of life after the show included her cat Chardonnay and renewed interest in meeting someone compatible, rather than a claim that the televised proposal had settled her future.
