The Lowdown
H3 was built on the Kleins’ marriage, so this isn’t a normal creator scandal; it pulls the floor out from under the whole channel. The crew going public this fast is the most striking part.
Key Takeaways
- Hila Klein said on Instagram late on October 22 that Ethan Klein had been having an affair for over six months and that they have separated (Variety).
- The H3 Podcast is on indefinite hiatus (Variety) (Entertainment Weekly).
- The production crew said it unanimously agreed not to keep working with Ethan Klein (Variety).
The Story

The H3 crew posted that they “stand with Hila” and would not continue working with Ethan “involved or profiting in any way,” adding they don’t yet know what that means for the show’s future (Variety).
Ethan Klein posted on Instagram asking people to respect his family’s privacy and not contact them looking for comment. The couple launched their YouTube channel in 2011 and started the H3 Podcast in 2016 (Variety) (Los Angeles Times).
