Elizabeth Potthast joined 90 Day Fiancé in the original series’ fifth season, when TLC introduced the Florida resident and her Moldovan fiancé Andrei Castravet. The network’s 2017 cast biography explained that they had connected through an app while she was planning a trip to Europe, then met in person. Their season followed the next step: Andrei’s move to America and their plans to marry.

Elizabeth’s family was part of that story from the beginning. TLC described her father and brothers as skeptical about the relationship, while Elizabeth herself was concerned about differences in expectations around gender roles. Those initial tensions became a continuing source of drama as the couple moved beyond the original 90-day framework. Reality TV World’s later reporting dates their marriage to late 2017 and connects the relationship’s beginnings to a visit to Dublin.

Their appearances on Happily Ever After? expanded the focus to marriage, work and family ties. A March 2022 retrospective in Reality TV World identifies their return in seasons four, five and six. It also describes the second wedding celebration in Moldova, intended to include Andrei’s family, and his later involvement in Elizabeth’s family’s property business. These events explain why their story remained part of an ensemble following relationships after the wedding.

Elizabeth has also appeared with Andrei on Pillow Talk, offering commentary on other franchise episodes. TLC named the couple again in its Happily Ever After? season-nine announcement, confirming another chapter in their returning-cast history. Her early seasons asked whether her relatives would accept Andrei. The subsequent business storyline brought those same relationships into their working lives, keeping family boundaries central even after the wedding and the original visa deadline had passed.
