George Takei is an American actor, author and activist who played helmsman Hikaru Sulu in Star Trek: The Original Series and six Star Trek films. Other credits include Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank (2022), The Terror: Infamy (2019) and Free Birds (2013). George Takei was born on April 20, 1937, in Los Angeles.
