Overview
Joe Ferrucci is a sales professional who joined the Denver cast of Netflix’s Love Is Blind Season 9. He became engaged to UX/UI designer Madison Maidenberg, with their pod conversations developing into plans for a home and family together. Their relationship ended before the wedding. Ferrucci’s later interviews focused on acknowledging communication mistakes and distinguishing the emotional connection they had shared from their ability to build a marriage.
His official cast introduction emphasized a sociable personality and close family ties. Ferrucci enjoyed karaoke, particularly singing Queen, and described quality time as an important way of expressing affection. Watching sports, attending concerts and supporting his nephew at soccer games were parts of the family life he hoped a partner would join. He also wanted meaningful private conversation and someone who shared his strong religious faith.
Those more serious priorities emerged in his dates with Maidenberg. When she discussed a degenerative eye condition that might eventually affect her sight, Ferrucci reassured her about his feelings. They spoke about children and moving in together before becoming engaged. Once they met face-to-face and traveled together, however, questions about physical attraction and the direction of the relationship complicated the bond they had formed through the wall.
In an October 2025 interview with Netflix after the reunion, Ferrucci expressed regret about how he had communicated during parts of the experiment. He said the difficulties shown on television did not erase the depth of his feelings for Maidenberg, and described their reunion conversation as an opportunity to make amends. He also discussed a new relationship at that time, saying he had learned to communicate his intentions more clearly. His account of the experience emphasized that two people could each have positive qualities without being the right partners for one another.
