Sara Carton is an oncology nurse who appeared on the Minneapolis-based eighth season of Netflix’s Love Is Blind. Her courtship with Ben Mezzenga became one of the season’s five engagements. Their conversations explored not just attraction, but whether two people could build a marriage around compatible values. The relationship reached the wedding stage without becoming a marriage, and both later discussed the experience in interviews with Netflix.
In her introductory cast profile, Carton described wanting a positive, motivated partner rather than someone she would need to change. MPR News reported in August 2025 that Carton and fellow participant Joey Leveille had announced a relationship through social media in July. The development connected two cast members who had originally been engaged to different people on the show. It also showed how the season’s friendships and connections continued after the weddings and reunion, rather than ending when the cameras stopped following the original couples.
