Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Season 2 Sets March 2027 Premiere as Final Season

Paramount+ used its Star Trek Universe panel at New York Comic Con on October 10, 2026, to date Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Season 2 for March 2027 and to confirm two major guest stars: Bill Nighy as Nyk Ake and Rosemarie DeWitt as Laytha Sadal (Deadline).

The second season will also be the last for the series (Deadline).

Academy stars Holly Hunter (Chancellor Nahla Ake), Sandro Rosta (Caleb Mir), Bella Shepard (Genesis Lythe), Karim Diané (Jay-Den Kraag) and Robert Picardo (The Doctor) joined executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau on stage (TrekMovie).

The panel, which celebrated the franchise’s 60th anniversary, closed with William Shatner in conversation with Ben Stiller, who surprised him by revealing the original Gorn head from his personal memorabilia collection (TrekMovie).
