Kara Bass

Overview

Kara Bass, also known professionally as Kara Leona, entered the 90 Day franchise in the original series’ ninth season in 2022. TLC introduced her as a Charlottesville, Virginia, resident whose relationship with Guillermo Rojer had begun in the Dominican Republic. She met the Venezuelan while visiting for work. They stayed in contact after she left, and a later work relocation gave them the opportunity to live together there.

The pair became engaged, but the pandemic disrupted their plans and sent Kara back to the United States. By the time TLC introduced them, they had spent nine months apart and were preparing for Guillermo to join her in Virginia. The season examined how their expectations about money, social life and independence translated into living together in America. Their wedding, held at a German beer hall, aired during that season.

Kara and Guillermo subsequently became parents and returned in the franchise’s follow-up formats. TLC included them in the sixth-season 90 Day Diaries cast, framing their story around balancing work, a young child and individual ambitions. Happily Ever After? season nine also followed the pressure that parenthood placed on their relationship. Outside television, Kara has worked in Charlottesville real estate and made bachata music under the name Kara Leona, as TV Insider reported in October 2026.

Their effort to resolve their difficulties continued in 90 Day: The Last Resort season three. TV Insider’s October 2026 retrospective describes a separation during Happily Ever After? and says the retreat ended without a reconciliation. Kara then joined season two of 90 Day: Hunt for Love, traveling to Puerto Rico for the singles-focused series. That appearance shifted her television story away from the original international engagement and toward dating after the relationship with Guillermo. TLC’s introduction emphasized her search for a partner who would accept her as she is.
